The story of Prague Shakespeare Company is one of bold ambition and ever-expanding horizons, and YOU have played an ESSENTIAL ROLE in our journey. Because of your belief in our work, our stages have expanded from the heart of Prague to the great theaters of Europe. There is a powerful momentum building at Prague Shakespeare Company, and as one of our most cherished supporters, you are at the very heart of this energy – you are the reason for our success. If you already believe in the value of PSC and know you want to support PSC and the important work we do, skip down to the bottom for giving instructions and links to donate. If you want to learn a little bit more about PSC and our exciting 2025 activities – keep reading!

Our 2025 season has been nothing short of extraordinary. Because of you, we sold out performances of King Lear under the stars at Prague Castle. We electrified audiences at the historic Estates Theatre with hit productions of Venus in Fur and Macbeth. We breathed new life into classics with the Play On Shakespeare translations of King John and Two Gentlemen of Verona.

This year our artistic family has grown through landmark international collaborations, such as our co-production of Twelfth Night with Cincinnati Shakespeare Company that delighted audiences in both Cincinnati, Ohio USA and in Prague at the beautiful Divadlo Bez Zabradli.

Our ground-breaking multi-lingual EU Creative Europe production of Hamlet, with our partners at Bremer Shakespeare Company and the Odesa Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater, continued to entertain, enlighten, and inspire audiences with its message of resilience, unity and hope on tour to the world-famous Gdansk Shakespeare Theatre in Poland and the Verona International Shakespeare Fringe Festival in Italy.

Beyond our stages, we have ignited a passion for the classics in over 120 serious-minded international young professionals and drama students through our Winter and Summer Intensives, giving them world-class training with over 70 industry-leading professional faculty artists.
Through our Shakespeare Intensives, students have performed on some of Europe’s greatest stages including the Czech National Theatre’s Estates Theater, Prague Castle and internationally on tour to Venice, Genoa, Vienna, and Bremen.

And the momentum continues. This season, we will make history once again with the European premiere of Muse of Fire, a breathtaking new play from the most produced living American playwright of the last ten years: the world-renowned playwright Lauren M. Gunderson. In a truly once-in-a-lifetime event, Lauren herself will make her European stage debut, starring as Shakespeare’s wife, Anne Hathaway and leading special workshops on playwriting and new play development, alongside legendary US theatre and Muse of Fire director Evren Odcikin for Prague based artists and students.

Looking ahead we will delight audiences of all ages with the return of our sold-out smash 2024 holiday hit musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol and we are in the process of commissioning both a thrilling new play from the celebrated Irish playwright Lee Coffey and a new musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s Troilus and Cressida from Billy Aronson, the co-creator of Rent, and the world renowned composer and conductor Jihye Lee, in partnership once again with the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company.

Our continued success begins now, with you! We hope you will give serious consideration to giving to our Annual Fall Fundraiser to jumpstart this critical campaign and help us reach our goal of $50,000 as soon as possible. Your early support will provide the powerful momentum we need.
We receive zero funding from the Czech government and the City of Prague. All our income comes from ticket sales, educational activities and our generous supporters like you.

Your donations are tax-deductible in the US or Czech Republic, depending on how you support.
Thank you for being a leading player in our incredible journey and your serious consideration of support of PSC. This is an important chance for you to show how much you value PSC and the work we do with your financial support. Gifts of all sizes are incredibly appreciated!

The faster we reach our goal, the faster we can get back to creating the art you love.
The stories we tell are only possible because you are part of our story.
With my deepest gratitude,
Guy Roberts
